Narada (teaching technical ritual applications within Book 1.3)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: raudra
Secondary Rasa: bhayanaka
The verse illustrates the Purana’s technical strand (Book 1.3) where ritual acts (homa and anointment) are presented as producing specific results, emphasizing the concept of karma-kāṇḍa efficacy when procedures are performed as prescribed.
This verse is primarily ritual-technical rather than bhakti-centered; it contrasts with bhakti teachings by focusing on result-oriented rites instead of surrender to Vishnu through devotion.
It highlights practical ritual-application knowledge—prayoga of homa (fire oblations), timing (niśā-madhya), and material specifics (salt, mustard, oil)—a technical discipline aligned with Vedanga-style procedural precision.
