छाया श्रृङ्गोन्नतियुती पातसाधानमीरितम् । जातके राशिभेदाश्च ग्रहयोनिश्च योनिजम् ॥ ४ ॥

Transliteration

chāyā śrṛṅgonnatiyutī pātasādhānamīritam | jātake rāśibhedāśca grahayoniśca yonijam || 4 ||

Translation

ছায়া-শঙ্কু, শৃঙ্গ-যন্ত্র ও উচ্চতা-মাপ দ্বারা ‘পাত’ (অবনতি) নির্ণয়ের পদ্ধতি বলা হয়েছে। জাতকে রাশিভেদ, গ্রহ-যোনি এবং সেখান থেকে উৎপন্ন যোনিজ বিষয়ও ব্যাখ্যাত।
