सेष्वशोनाः सितं तिथ्यो बलन्नाशोन्नतं विधोः । श्रृङ्गमन्यत्र उद्वाच्यं बलनांगुललेखनात् ॥ १६९ ॥
seṣvaśonāḥ sitaṃ tithyo balannāśonnataṃ vidhoḥ | śrṛṅgamanyatra udvācyaṃ balanāṃgulalekhanāt || 169 ||
অবশিষ্ট তিথিগুলিতে তিথি অনুসারে চন্দ্রকলাকে ‘শুক্ল/উজ্জ্বল’ বলে বুঝতে হবে। চন্দ্রের উদয়‑অস্ত দ্বারা তার বৃদ্ধি‑ক্ষয় নির্ণীত হয়। চন্দ্রশৃঙ্গের (কলা‑শীর্ষের) দিক অন্যত্র আঙুলের চিহ্ন‑প্রমাণে পৃথকভাবে বলা হয়॥১৬৯॥
