Sukta 81
यद् द्याव इन्द्र ते शतं शतं भूमिरुत स्युः । न त्वा वज्रिन्त्सहस्रं सूर्या अनु न जातमष्ट रोदसी
yád dyā́va indra te śatáṃ śatáṃ bhū́mir utá syúḥ | ná tvā vajrin sahásraṃ sū́ryā ánu ná jātám aṣṭá ródasī ||
Though there were for thee, O Indra, a hundred and a hundred heavens, and earths likewise—yet should not a thousand suns in succession match thee, O Vajrin, nor what is born within the two worlds.
হে ইন্দ্র! যদি তোমার জন্য শত-শত আকাশ এবং তদ্রূপ শত-শত পৃথিবীও থাকে, তবু হে বজ্রিন! পরপর উদিত হাজার সূর্যও তোমার সমান হতে পারে না; আর দ্যাবা-পৃথিবী—এই দুই লোকের মধ্যে যা কিছু জন্মায়, তাও তোমার তুল্য নয়।
