ईचरौवाच । पुराऽसीस्त्वं महादेवि श्यामवर्णा मनस्विनी । नामार्थं च मया प्रोक्ता कालीति रहसि स्थिता
īcarauvāca | purā'sīstvaṃ mahādevi śyāmavarṇā manasvinī | nāmārthaṃ ca mayā proktā kālīti rahasi sthitā
ঈশ্বৰে ক’লে: “হে মহাদেৱী! পূৰ্বে তুমি শ্যামবৰ্ণা আৰু দৃঢ়চিত্তা আছিলা। তুমি একান্তত অৱস্থিত থাকোঁতে মই গোপনে তোমাৰ নামাৰ্থ ‘কালী’ বুলি ক’লোঁ।”
