bhakṣyabhojyaistathā tṛptā yāṃti bhojanadāyina | dīpapradāḥ prakāśena gopradāstāṃ nadīṃ sukham
Lomaharṣaṇa/Sūta (deduced for Māheśvara-khaṇḍa narrative style)
Type: river (symbolic/unnamed)
Scene: A charitable kitchen serves steaming food; a devotee offers a lit lamp at dusk; a cow is gifted with garlanded horns; beyond, a dark river is crossed easily under a halo of light.
Providing sustenance and guidance (food and light) returns as inner satisfaction and clarity; go-dāna is extolled as a powerful aid in crossing peril.
No earthly tīrtha; the verse alludes to crossing the dreadful river (Vaitaraṇī) through merit.
Bhojana-dāna (food charity), dīpa-dāna (lamp charity), and go-dāna (cow donation).
