Sukta 1.52
स पर्वतो न धरुणेष्वच्युतः सहस्रमूतिस्तविषीषु वावृधे । इन्द्रो यद्वृत्रमवधीन्नदीवृतमुब्जन्नर्णांसि जर्हृषाणो अन्धसा ॥
sá párvato ná dharuṇéṣv ácyutaḥ sahásramūtis táviṣīṣu vāvṛdhe | índro yád vṛtrám ávadhīn nadīvṛ́tam ubjánn arṇā́ṃsi járhṛṣāṇo ándhasā ||
সেই ইন্দ্ৰ পৰ্বতৰ দৰে অচল—ভিত্তিত অচ্যুত; সহস্ৰ-সহায়ে সমৃদ্ধ, নিজৰ তেজ-মহিমাত অধিক অধিক বৃদ্ধি পায়। যেতিয়া ইন্দ্ৰে নদীসমূহক ৰোধি থোৱা বৃত্ৰক বধ কৰিলে, তেতিয়া তেওঁ জলধাৰাসমূহ উন্মোচন কৰি বন্যা-জলক নিঃসৃত কৰিলে—সোম-আনন্দত উল্লসিত হৈ।
