It highlights the Purāṇic principle of cosmic order: divine beings are organized into classes (gaṇas), each governed by a presiding chief (called “Indra”), reflecting structured governance within creation.
Indirectly, it supports Bhakti by situating all deities within an ordered cosmos—encouraging the devotee to see divine administration as part of the Supreme’s arrangement, rather than as independent ultimate powers.
This is mainly an anukramaṇikā-style enumeration (systematic listing). While not a direct Vedāṅga lesson, it parallels the Vedāṅga emphasis on classification and precise naming used in traditional śāstric study.
