Narada (in a didactic/summary passage within Book 1.4’s anukramanika-style material)
Vrata: Madana-vrata
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It emphasizes sattva-oriented worship: pure (white) substances, fragrant sandalwood, and wholesome offerings like fruits and sugarcane—symbols of purity, auspiciousness, and devotional refinement.
Bhakti is expressed through careful, reverent preparation—offering pleasing, pure items with intention and cleanliness, treating the object of worship as worthy of the best and most auspicious presentation.
Ritual application aligns with Kalpa (procedural discipline): specifying correct upacāra materials (fruits, ikṣu, vastra, gandha) and their proper qualities (notably whiteness/purity) for worship.
