अग्निं दूतं वृणीमहे होतारं विश्ववेदसम्। अस्य यज्ञस्य सुक्रतुम्

IAST Transliteration

agním dūtáṃ vṛṇīmahe hótāraṃ viśvávedasam | asyá yajñásya sukrátum

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Agni, the messenger, we choose—him the Hotar, the all-knowing—of this our sacrifice, the of-good-counsel, the of-good-rite.

Translation

অগ্নিক দূত ৰূপে আমি বাছি লওঁ—হোতা, বিশ্ববেদস (সৰ্বজ্ঞ) জনক; এই আমাৰ যজ্ঞৰ সু-ক্রতু (সু-বুদ্ধি, সু-কর্ম) জনক।
