FAQs

It gives a precise homa-prayoga: add five extra oblations, chant Oṁ while using Muṣṭi-mudrā, repeat the two āghāra ghee-offerings with mantras concluding in Vāyu and Agni, and then proceed to cook/prepare the ritual food offering.

Beyond mythic narration, it preserves operational ritual details—counts of offerings, specific mudrā usage, and sequencing of āghāra and cooking—showing the text’s role as a practical manual for pūjā and homa alongside its broader teachings.

Correct sequencing with Praṇava, āghāra, and deity-linked conclusions (Vāyu–Agni) is presented as ensuring ritual purity, proper consecration of the offering, and the intended merit (puṇya) from a correctly executed fire-sacrifice.
