Varaha Purana 128.48 — Adhyaya 128, Shloka 48

Rites for the comb, collyrium, and mirror; initiations for the four social orders; and the Gaṇāntikā vow/insignia

आसुरी नाम सा दीक्षा यया धर्मः प्रवर्त्तते ॥ यस्माद्गणान्तिकां गुह्यां चिन्तयेच्छुद्धमानसः

āsurī nāma sā dīkṣā yayā dharmaḥ pravarttate || yasmād gaṇāntikāṃ guhyāṃ cintayec chuddhamānasaḥ

«تُسمّى تلك الديكشا “آسوري” (Āsurī)، وبها يسير الدَّرما على ذلك النحو. لذلك ينبغي لِمَن طَهُرَ قلبُه أن يتأمّل الغَنَانتيكا السرّية (في سياقها الصحيح)».
