Varaha Purana 128.47 — Adhyaya 128, Shloka 47

Rites for the comb, collyrium, and mirror; initiations for the four social orders; and the Gaṇāntikā vow/insignia

तस्य धर्मो न विद्येत दीक्षा तस्य महाफला ॥ यस्तु गृह्णाति सुश्रोणि मन्त्रपूतां गणान्तिकाम्

tasya dharmo na vidyeta dīkṣā tasya mahāphalā || yas tu gṛhṇāti suśroṇi mantrapūtāṃ gaṇāntikām

«فلا يكون له دَرما؛ ومع ذلك يُقال إن ديكشاه ذات ثمرة عظيمة. وأما من يتلقّى، يا حسنة الخصر، الغَنَانتيكا المطهَّرة بالمانترا—فذلك هو الوجه الصحيح».
