atrasthaḥ sādhayiṣyāmi tāṃ kṛtyāṃ ciṃtayanhṛdi | kṛtyāṃ vā sādhayiṣyāmi yāsye vā yamasādanam
Pippalāda (as quoted/reported by the narrator)
Tirtha: Śivāyatana (at Tuhinācala)
Type: temple
Scene: The protagonist, near a Śiva-linga, clenches his resolve inwardly: he will accomplish the Kṛtyā or die; the shrine feels still while his mind burns.
Single-minded determination becomes perilous when aimed at harm; Purāṇas warn that such fixation courts death or downfall.
The verse continues the sacral setting (a holy precinct), nested in the Prabhāsakṣetra Māhātmya’s sacred-geography frame.
A Kṛtyā-sādhana is mentioned descriptively as a hostile practice, not as a recommended dhārmic rite.
