في بيوت آل فṛṣṇi أخذت البوم تصيح مجيبةً نعيق الغربان؛ وحتى الماعز كانت تردد عواء بنات آوى المشؤوم—يا أيتها الحسناء—فبدت دلائل الشؤم.
