तासां तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा दुःखार्तानां प्रजापतिः । ब्रह्मतेजः समायुक्तः पुत्रीस्नेहेन कर्षितः । जगाम यत्र ऋक्षेशो वचनं चेदमब्रवीत्
tāsāṃ tadvacanaṃ śrutvā duḥkhārtānāṃ prajāpatiḥ | brahmatejaḥ samāyuktaḥ putrīsnehena karṣitaḥ | jagāma yatra ṛkṣeśo vacanaṃ cedamabravīt
فلما سمع براجابتي (داكشا) كلام بناته المكدودات بالحزن—وهو متوشّح ببهاء البراهمن ومجذوب بمحبة البنات—مضى إلى حيث ربّ النجوم، وقال هذه الكلمات.
