vālakhilyā ūcuḥ | namasta ṛksvarūpāya sāmarūpāya te namaḥ | yajuḥsvarūparūpāya sāmnāṃ dhāmaga te namaḥ
Vālakhilyas
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Listener: The praised deity (solar/transcendent form)
Scene: A circle of Vālakhilya sages—tiny, radiant ascetics—stand on a luminous shore of Prabhāsa, hands folded, offering Vedic-form salutations to a resplendent solar presence that also hints at a transcendent deity beyond form.
The deity is revered as the living essence of sacred revelation (Veda), suggesting that true worship aligns with Vedic truth and sound.
The hymn is situated within the Prabhāsa-kṣetra māhātmya, reinforcing Prabhāsa as a place where Vedic praise naturally arises.
Vedic recitation and stuti are implied; no specific procedural rite is stated.
