Bhagavān (Mahādeva/Śiva)
Tirtha: Piṇḍāraka Tīrtha
Type: ghat
Listener: Piṇḍāraka (mahāmati addressed)
Scene: On Mahāṣṭamī, pilgrims bathe at Piṇḍāraka while an unseen/manifest Śiva presence sanctifies the waters; the scene suggests ascent to a luminous ‘parama sthāna’.
Sacred time (Aṣṭamī) and sacred place (tīrtha) unite to elevate the devotee toward Śiva’s highest station.
Piṇḍāraka Tīrtha, where Śiva promises special presence on Mahā-Aṣṭamī.
Bathing (snāna) at the tīrtha specifically on the Aṣṭamī day.
