श्रीमार्कण्डेय उवाच । अत्रैवोदाहरन्तीममितिहासं पुरातनम् । कैलासे पृच्छते भक्त्या षण्मुखाय शिवोदितम्
śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca | atraivodāharantīmamitihāsaṃ purātanam | kailāse pṛcchate bhaktyā ṣaṇmukhāya śivoditam
قال الشريف ماركانديّا: هنا بعينه سأروي سيرةً مقدّسةً قديمة، نطق بها شيفا، حين سُئل عنها على جبل كايلاسا بتعبّدٍ لدى شانموخا (سكاندا).
