देव्युवाच । नाहं ते दयिता देव नाहं ते वशवर्तिनी । अकृत्वाधश्व वै तासां मानं सुरसुपूजितम्
devyuvāca | nāhaṃ te dayitā deva nāhaṃ te vaśavartinī | akṛtvādhaśva vai tāsāṃ mānaṃ surasupūjitam
قالت الإلهة: «يا إلهي، لستُ حبيبتك، ولستُ خاضعة لسلطانك—إلا إن خفضتَ أولاً شرفهنّ الذي تُعظّمه حتى الآلهة».
