साकं वदन्ति बहवो मनीषिण इन्द्रस्य सोमं जठरे यदादुहुः । यदी मृजन्ति सुगभस्तयो नरः सनीळाभिर्दशभिः काम्यं मधु ॥

Transliteration

sā́kaṃ vádanti bahávo manīṣíṇa índrasya sómaṃ jaṭháre yádāduhúḥ | yadī́ mṛjánti sú-gabhastayo nárāḥ sanī́ḷābhir daśábhiḥ kā́myaṃ mádhu ||

Translation

يتحدّثُ معًا كثيرٌ من الرُّؤاة عن سوما إندرا حينما حلبوه إلى البطن (الإناء الباطن). وحين يُنقّيه الرجالُ ذوو الأيدي القويّة بالأخوات العشر الساكنات في بيتٍ واحد، يتكوّن العسلُ المرغوب—حلاوةُ البهجة—ويُهيَّأ لتمتّع الروح.
