यं देवासोऽवथ वाजसातौ यं शूरसाता मरुतो हिते धने । प्रातर्यावाणं रथमिन्द्र सानसिमरिष्यन्तमा रुहेमा स्वस्तये ॥

yáṃ devā́so ’ávatha vā́ja-sātau yáṃ śū́ra-sātā maruto hité dháne | prātaryā́vāṇaṃ rátham indra sānásim áriṣyantam ā́ ruhemā svastáye ||

مَن ترعاه الآلهةُ في نيلِ الوفرة، ومَن تُعينه الماروتات (Maruts) في اكتسابِ بأسِ البطولة للكنزِ المحبوب—على المركبةِ السائرةِ نحو الفجر، يا إندرا، مركبةِ الظَّفَر، التي لا تُنالُ بسوء، لِنَصعَدْ إليها من أجلِ وصولٍ آمنٍ (سْفَسْتي).
