Adhyaya 34 — Madālāsā’s Instruction on Sadācāra (Householder Conduct, Purity, and Daily Rites)
विद्याधिकस्य गुर्विण्या भारार्तस्य यवीयसः ।
मूकान्धबधिराणाञ्च मत्तस्योन्मत्तकस्य च ॥
vidyādhikasya gurviṇyā bhārārtasya yavīyasaḥ |
mūkāndha-badhirāṇāñ ca mattasyonmattakasya ca ||
يُقدَّم ويُفسَح الطريق لمن هو أرفع علماً، وللمرأة الحامل، ولحامل الحمل الثقيل، وللأصغر سناً ممن يحتاج إلى مراعاة، وللأبكم والأعمى والأصم؛ وكذلك للسكران والمجنون.

Public etiquette becomes a form of non-violence: yielding prevents harm and honors both merit (learning) and vulnerability (pregnancy, disability, distress).

‘Giving way’ is an outer ritual of inner humility: knowledge, life-bearing (pregnancy), and incapacity each represent conditions where ego should step aside.
