सीदता यद् कृतं तेन तत् पापं स समश्नुते । सायं चैव विधिः कार्यः सूर्यॊढं तत्र चातिथिम् ॥

sīdatā yad kṛtaṃ tena tat pāpaṃ sa samaśnute | sāyaṃ caiva vidhiḥ kāryaḥ sūryoḍhaṃ tatra cātithim ||

أيُّ ظلمٍ يُرتكب في حقّ من هو في ضيق—فإن المُهمِل ينال نصيبًا من ذلك الإثم. وعند المساء ينبغي أداء الشعيرة اللائقة؛ والاعتناء بالضيف الذي يأتي وقت الغروب.

Neglect of the vulnerable is not neutral; it generates culpability. Hospitality is time-sensitive in dharma literature—an atithi arriving at day’s end must be received rather than deferred.
