अर्जुनस्य सैन्धवाभिमुखगमनम् तथा विन्दानुविन्दयोर्वधः
Arjuna’s advance toward Saindhava and the fall of Vinda–Anuvinda
ततो वादित्रघोषाश्न प्रादुरासन् सहस्रश: । सिंहनादश्न पाण्डूनां प्रतिज्ञाते महात्मना,महामना अर्जुनने जब उक्त प्रतिज्ञा कर ली, उस समय पाण्डवोंके शिविरमें अनेक बाजोंके हजारों शब्द और पाण्डव वीरोंका सिंहनाद भी सब ओर गूँजने लगा
tato vāditraghoṣāḥ prādurāsan sahasraśaḥ | siṃhanādaś ca pāṇḍūnāṃ pratijñāte mahātmanā ||
ثم لما أتمّ العظيمُ النفس نذره الجليل، دوّى معسكر الباندافا من كل ناحية بضجيج آلاف آلات الحرب، وبزئيرٍ كزئير الأسد من أفواه أبطالهم. وكان ذلك الهدير موجةً مسموعة من العزم—تُثبّت على الملأ الثقلَ الأخلاقي للقَسَم، وتنهض بالجيش إلى أداء واجبه في الحرب.
