It teaches a practical consecration/purification step: empower by 100 mantra recitations, then sprinkle the vardhanī vessel in an unbroken stream while applying the Astra-mantra and orienting/leading the rite toward the Īśāna (north-east) direction.
Beyond mythology, it preserves procedural ritual technology—mantra-counting, specific implements (kuśa, mustard), specialized vessels (vardhanī), and directional rules (Īśāna)—showing the text’s coverage of applied liturgy alongside broader religious and cultural subjects.
The Astra-mantra and uninterrupted sprinkling function as a protective and purifying act, ritually sealing the space/object and aligning the rite with the auspicious Īśāna quarter, traditionally associated with sanctity, protection, and spiritual elevation.
