Bhāgavatam Mahimā — The Glory, Measure, Transmission, and Gift of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam
सर्ववेदान्तसारं हि श्रीभागवतमिष्यते । तद्रसामृततृप्तस्य नान्यत्र स्याद्रति: क्वचित् ॥ १५ ॥
sarva-vedānta-sāraṁ hi śrī-bhāgavatam iṣyate tad-rasāmṛta-tṛptasya nānyatra syād ratiḥ kvacit
Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam is declared to be the essence of all Vedānta philosophy. One who has felt satisfaction from its nectarean mellow will never be attracted to any other literature.
This verse states that Śrīmad Bhāgavatam is regarded as the distilled essence of all Vedānta teachings, presenting the highest conclusion through pure devotion (bhakti) and spiritual rasa.
In Canto 12, Chapter 13, Sūta Gosvāmī concludes by glorifying the Bhāgavatam to the sages at Naimiṣāraṇya, emphasizing its supreme authority and its power to fully satisfy the heart with divine nectar.
Regular hearing/reading of Bhāgavatam with devotion cultivates a higher taste; as that inner fulfillment grows, fascination with distractions and lower pleasures naturally diminishes.
