Draupadī Meets Kṛṣṇa’s Queens — Narratives of the Lord’s Marriages and the Queens’ Bhakti
त एवं लोकनाथेन परिपृष्टा: सुसत्कृता: । प्रत्यूचुर्हृष्टमनसस्तत्पादेक्षाहतांहस: ॥ २ ॥
ta evaṁ loka-nāthena paripṛṣṭāḥ su-sat-kṛtāḥ pratyūcur hṛṣṭa-manasas tat-pādekṣā-hatāṁhasaḥ
Feeling greatly honored, King Yudhiṣṭhira and the others, freed of all sinful reactions by seeing the feet of the Lord of the universe, gladly answered His inquiries.
This verse states that merely by the sight of Kṛṣṇa’s lotus feet (tat-pādekṣā), the devotees’ sins (aṁhasaḥ) are destroyed (hata), showing the purifying power of His darśana.
Because Kṛṣṇa, the Lord of all, personally inquired from them and received them with honor; having His audience and seeing His feet filled them with devotional happiness and inner purification.
Seek regular darśana through sincere devotion—hearing about Kṛṣṇa, worship, and remembrance—because contact with the Lord (directly or through bhakti practices) purifies the mind and brings genuine joy.
