Balarāma Humbles the Kurus and Rescues Sāmba
[The Kauravas said:] O Rāma, Rāma, foundation of everything! We know nothing of Your power. Please excuse our offense, for we are ignorant and misguided.
‘Akhilādhāra’ means “the support of all,” acknowledging Balarāma (Rāma) as the sustaining foundation of the entire cosmos and all beings.
They admit their ignorance of His greatness and beg pardon for their transgression, recognizing that their misguided actions arose from foolishness and poor understanding.
It teaches sincere repentance: admit one’s limitation, avoid self-justification, and seek forgiveness with humility—an essential mood for bhakti and healthy relationships.
