Kṛṣṇa Defeats Bāṇāsura and Receives Śiva’s Prayers
The Śoṇitapura Battle and the Jvara Episode
अक्षौहिण्या परिवृतं सुवास:समलङ्कृतम् । सपत्नीकं पुरस्कृत्य ययौ रुद्रानुमोदित: ॥ ५१ ॥
akṣauhiṇyā parivṛtaṁ su-vāsaḥ-samalaṅkṛtam sa-patnīkaṁ puras-kṛtya yayau rudrānumoditaḥ
At the front of the party Lord Kṛṣṇa then placed Aniruddha and His bride, both beautifully adorned with fine clothes and ornaments, and surrounded them with a full military division. Thus Lord Kṛṣṇa took His leave of Lord Śiva and departed.
This verse shows that Rudra (Śiva) gives his approval, indicating that even powerful devas act within the divine arrangement surrounding Krishna’s līlā.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī narrates this verse to Mahārāja Parīkṣit as part of the account of Bāṇāsura’s episode.
Even when one has strength, support, and resources, true success depends on higher sanction—so act with humility, seek divine guidance, and remember outcomes rest with the Supreme.
