Rukmiṇī worshiped the goddess with water, scents, whole grains, incense, clothing, garlands, necklaces, jewelry and other prescribed offerings and gifts, and also with arrays of lamps. The married brāhmaṇa women each performed worship simultaneously with the same items, also offering savories and cakes, prepared betel nut, sacred threads, fruit and sugarcane juice.
The verse lists water, fragrances, unbroken grains (akṣata), incense, garments, garlands, ornaments, many offerings and bali-oblations, and rows of lamps arranged separately.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī narrates these details to Mahārāja Parīkṣit while describing the events surrounding Rukmiṇī and Kṛṣṇa in Vidarbha.
It highlights attentive, orderly worship—offering what one can with cleanliness, fragrance, light, and reverence—cultivating devotion through thoughtful service rather than mere formality.
