Mucukunda’s Departure; Jarāsandha’s Pursuit; Prelude to Rukmiṇī’s Abduction
Rukmiṇī’s Message Begins
बदर्याश्रममासाद्य नरनारायणालयम् । सर्वद्वन्द्वसह: शान्तस्तपसाराधयद्धरिम् ॥ ४ ॥
badary-āśramam āsādya nara-nārāyaṇālayam sarva-dvandva-sahaḥ śāntas tapasārādhayad dharim
There he arrived at Badarikāśrama, the abode of Lord Nara-Nārāyaṇa, where, remaining tolerant of all dualities, he peacefully worshiped the Supreme Lord Hari by performing severe austerities.
This verse states that by reaching a sacred place like Badarikāśrama and practicing tapasya with peace and endurance, one can worship and please Lord Hari.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī is narrating this verse to Mahārāja Parīkṣit as part of the events surrounding Rukmiṇī’s message and the unfolding narrative.
By remaining steady through opposites like comfort and discomfort, praise and blame, one can keep the mind peaceful and continue devotional practice without being shaken by changing circumstances.
