Type: temple

Scene: Hari stands before the fierce guardian’s sanctum, eyes copper-red, arm raised with Sudarśana poised to strike; the kṛtyā—dark, swirling, and unstable—hovers as a created force awaiting dissolution, while Bhairava’s presence looms as the maker and judge.

FAQs

Unchecked wrath—even in divine narratives—threatens cosmic balance; the Māhātmya frames the need for restraint and right counsel.

Prabhāsa kṣetra is the implied setting where Kālabhairava’s presence and power are narrated.

No prescription; the term kṛtyā alludes to ritual power, but the verse itself is descriptive, not instructive.
