sa ekaḥ paramaḥ putro yo gatvā tatra sundari | dadecchrāddhaṃ pitṝṇāṃ ca tasyāṃto naiva vidyate
美丽者啊,唯有那位至上的儿子:前往彼处,为诸Pitṛ(祖灵)奉献śrāddha;此功德实无穷尽。
Śiva
Tirtha: Prabhāsa tīrtha (pitṛ-śrāddha-pradhāna)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Sundarī Devī (Pārvatī)
Scene: A devoted son arrives after travel, bows at the riverbank, performs śrāddha for pitṛs; behind him, a faint ancestral presence receives offerings; the horizon suggests the vastness of ‘endless’ merit.
Filial dharma is fulfilled through honoring ancestors; at a great tīrtha, that duty yields inexhaustible merit.
The ‘there’ refers to the Devikā-taṭa/Umāpatīśvara setting within Prabhāsakṣetra.
Perform śrāddha for the Pitṛs at that holy place.
