īśvara uvāca | uktvaivaṃ bhagavāndevastatraivāṃtaradhīyata | sāṃnidhyamakarottatra tataḥprabhṛti śaṃkaraḥ
Īśvara (Śiva)
Tirtha: Śaṅkara-sannidhi at Prabhāsa
Type: kshetra
Scene: Śiva speaks, then vanishes into light at the very spot; the place becomes charged with an unseen but palpable presence—suggested by a self-effulgent liṅga or a radiant aura hovering over the ground, with devotees awestruck.
A tīrtha becomes especially potent when the Lord establishes continual divine presence (sāṃnidhya) there.
The Prabhāsa Kṣetra locale associated with Prācī Sarasvatī and Maṅkīśvara.
No specific ritual is given; the verse explains the sanctification of place through Śiva’s presence.
