Tirtha: Somnātha at Prabhāsa
Type: kshetra
Scene: Candra completes a meticulous worship sequence before the Prabhāsa liṅga; Śaṅkara becomes ‘visible’—a luminous presence emerging from the liṅga—while Candra begins a hymn, hands folded, eyes uplifted.
When worship is performed with proper vidhi and sincere intent, divine darśana and the fruit of one’s purpose become attainable.
Prabhāsa Kṣetra, presented in the Skanda Purana as a powerful Śaiva tīrtha where Śaṅkara grants direct manifestation.
Performing worship “according to vidhi” (prescribed rite) followed by stuti (hymnic praise).
