yanmamāgretanaṃ nāmakhyātaṃ brahmāvasānikam | somanātheti ca punastadeva pracariṣyati | drakṣyaṃti hi narā ye māmatrasthaṃ bhaktitatparāḥ
Śiva (Śambhu)
Tirtha: Somanātha at Prabhāsa
Type: kshetra
Listener: Soma/Candra
Scene: Śiva declares that his ancient, cosmic-age-renowned name will again circulate as ‘Somanātha’; devotees gather for darśana at the ever-present liṅga.
Divine names and tīrthas endure across cosmic time, and bhakti leads to living darśana at the sacred seat.
Prabhāsakṣetra, where Śiva is to be seen as Somnātha.
No specific rite is mandated; the verse highlights bhakti-tatparatā (devotional intent) and darśana at the kṣetra.
