tataste munayaḥ prītāḥ śrutvā vākyaṃ pitāmahāt | pitāmahastu tāndṛṣṭvā ṛṣīnprovāca vismitān | kena kāryeṇa vā'yātāḥ kena bālo niveditaḥ
诸牟尼听闻毗多摩诃(Pitāmaha)之言,皆心生欢喜。毗多摩诃见诸仙人惊异,便说道:“你们为何而来?又为何将此童子呈到我前?”
Brahmā (Pitāmaha)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Scene: Sages rejoice at Brahmā’s blessing; Brahmā turns to them, questioning their purpose and the boy’s presentation, while the boy stands modestly nearby.
In dharmic tradition, even divine boons are situated within inquiry, clarity of purpose, and accountable speech.
Prabhāsakṣetra remains the māhātmya frame, presenting the tirtha as a stage for divine dialogue.
No ritual is prescribed; the verse advances the formal dialogue (praśna-uttara) typical of Purāṇic instruction.
