Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 30

एतदेव यदा पद्ममभूद्धैरण्मयं जगत् । तद्वृत्तांताश्रयांतं तत्पाद्ममित्युच्यते बुधैः

Transliteration

etadeva yadā padmamabhūddhairaṇmayaṃ jagat | tadvṛttāṃtāśrayāṃtaṃ tatpādmamityucyate budhaiḥ

Translation

此即关乎莲华初生、宇宙化为金色之时的记述；因依止于此段因缘，智者称之为《莲华》(Pādmā/Padma)《往世书》。
