कृष्णपक्षे चतुर्दश्यां स्नात्वा यस्तर्पयेत्पितॄन् । तर्पिताः पितरस्तेन यावच्चन्द्रार्कतारकम्
kṛṣṇapakṣe caturdaśyāṃ snātvā yastarpayetpitṝn | tarpitāḥ pitarastena yāvaccandrārkatārakam
凡于黑半月第十四日沐浴，并为祖灵行供水礼（tarpaṇa）者——由此令诸祖灵（Pitṛ）欢喜，直至月、日与群星长存。
