ऋते वै कार्तिकीमेकां पूजां सांवत्सरीं तव । करिष्यंति द्विजाः सर्वे सत्येनानेन ते शपे । एतद्बुद्ध्वा न कोपोस्तु हतो हन्ति न संशयः
ṛte vai kārtikīmekāṃ pūjāṃ sāṃvatsarīṃ tava | kariṣyaṃti dvijāḥ sarve satyenānena te śape | etadbuddhvā na kopostu hato hanti na saṃśayaḥ
“唯除迦尔提迦月（Kārtika）一年一度的一次供奉外，一切二生者（dvija）都不会再礼拜你。我以此真实向你起誓。既知如此，莫生嗔怒——被击者必还击，毫无疑虑。”
