यस्याः सकृज्जलस्नानं स्पर्द्धते ब्रह्मविद्यया । तेन वै गोमती सेयं सर्वतीर्थोत्तमोत्तमा । ब्रह्मज्ञानेन मुच्यंते प्रयागमरणेन वा । स्नानमात्रेण गोमत्यां मुच्यते पूर्वजैः सह
yasyāḥ sakṛjjalasnānaṃ sparddhate brahmavidyayā | tena vai gomatī seyaṃ sarvatīrthottamottamā | brahmajñānena mucyaṃte prayāgamaraṇena vā | snānamātreṇa gomatyāṃ mucyate pūrvajaiḥ saha
在她之中，仅一次入水沐浴，便足以与梵智（Brahma-vidyā）的救度之力相匹敌。因此，此戈摩提确为一切圣地（tīrtha）中最上之最上。解脱可由证悟梵我而得，或由死于普罗耶伽（Prayāga）而成；然而仅在戈摩提沐浴，亦能得解脱——并与祖先同蒙超度。
