śrīkṛṣṇa uvāca | yadi prasanno bhagavāṃstadāgacchasva me gṛham | śirasā dhāryya pādāṃbu prayāsyāmi pavitratām
Śrī Kṛṣṇa
Tirtha: Dvārakā
Type: kshetra
Listener: Durvāsā
Scene: Kṛṣṇa invites Durvāsā into his home; a golden water vessel is brought. Kṛṣṇa bows, receiving the sage’s foot-water, lifting it to his head with reverent composure; Durvāsā stands blessing.
Reverence to saints purifies the heart; humility before the holy is portrayed as a royal and divine virtue.
Dvārakā is implied as the sacred setting where such saintly hospitality becomes meritorious.
Pādodaka—honoring and bearing the water from a revered person’s feet as a means of purification.
