अग्निरुवाच । अत्रागत्य शुचिः श्राद्धं यः करिष्यति मानवः । आत्मवित्तानुसारेण तस्य यज्ञफलं भवेत्
agniruvāca | atrāgatya śuciḥ śrāddhaṃ yaḥ kariṣyati mānavaḥ | ātmavittānusāreṇa tasya yajñaphalaṃ bhavet
阿耆尼说:凡人来此自净,依其财力行施祖祭(śrāddha),必得祭祀(yajña)之果报。
Agni
Tirtha: Arbuda-tīrtha (as framed in Arbudakhaṇḍa)
Type: kshetra
Scene: Agni as a radiant deity-speaker near a tīrtha, while a pilgrim—freshly bathed—offers śrāddha: kuśa grass, piṇḍas, water libations, and respectful feeding; the atmosphere is orderly and luminous.
Dharma is accessible: even modest śrāddha, done sincerely and within one’s means at a holy place, yields great spiritual fruit.
The Arbuda-kṣetra tīrtha/āśrama described in Prabhāsa Khaṇḍa, Arbuda Khaṇḍa, Adhyāya 36.
Arrive purified (śuci), then perform śrāddha in proportion to one’s resources (ātma-vitta-anusāreṇa).
