“有福之人啊,当礼敬这至为清净的湿婆林伽。因汝虔敬,它从地表涌现——伟大而能满愿。”
Aśarīriṇī Vāk (bodiless voice)
Tirtha: Pārtheśvara (liṅga) at Arbuda
Type: kshetra
Listener: A fortunate woman addressed as ‘mahābhāgā’; and the king (‘mahīpate’) as frame-listener
Scene: A radiant Śiva-liṅga newly emerged from the earth’s surface, surrounded by awe-struck devotees; the atmosphere is sanctified, with subtle divine light and signs of purity.
Bhakti is portrayed as creative and consecrating: devotion brings forth the divine presence, and worship of that presence becomes a source of purity and fulfillment.
The Pārtheśvara Śiva-liṅga site in Arbuda, identified as supremely purifying and wish-granting.
Perform pūjā (worship) of the manifested Śiva-liṅga; the verse explicitly commands liṅga-pūjā.
