sūta uvāca | tena kopavaśātkarma pratijñāṃ parirakṣatā | tatkṛtaṃ tarpitā yena pitaro rudhireṇa te
Sūta
Type: kshetra
Listener: brāhmaṇa sages
Scene: Sūta narrates; behind him a vivid flashback: Paraśurāma, eyes blazing with wrath, holding an axe, making a grim vow; shadowy pitṛ figures appear, ‘satisfied’ in a symbolic, unsettling way.
Vows and intense emotions can drive extraordinary actions; Purāṇic narratives often explain apparent anomalies through motive (vow, wrath, duty).
Rāmahrada remains the narrative setting, giving sacred memory to the event described.
None as a general rule; the verse explains a specific exceptional act tied to a vow.
