यत्किंचिद्दीयत दानं तस्मिंस्तीर्थवरे द्विजाः । हुतजप्यादिकं चैव तदनंतफलं भवेत्
yatkiṃciddīyata dānaṃ tasmiṃstīrthavare dvijāḥ | hutajapyādikaṃ caiva tadanaṃtaphalaṃ bhavet
婆罗门啊!凡在那最殊胜的圣地(tīrtha)所施之布施——以及火供、持诵(japa)等诸般仪轨——皆成无尽之福果。
Sūta
Type: kshetra
Listener: Ṛṣayaḥ / dvijāḥ
Scene: A bustling yet orderly tīrtha-bank: devotees giving alms, a small homa-kunda with flames, a japa-mālā in a pilgrim’s hand; the air glows to indicate 'ananta-phala' radiating outward.
Right action performed in a sanctified place multiplies in spiritual potency, turning finite acts into enduring merit.
The tīrtha described in Adhyāya 42 (the Viśvāmitra-origin kuṇḍa/spring where Gaṅgā abides).
Dāna (charity), huta/homa (oblations), japa (recitation), and allied rites performed at this tīrtha yield ananta-phala (limitless fruit).
