即便是通达四吠陀、却生于他处的二生婆罗门,也不应在此行事。此一仪轨界限之法,乃由大心者婆尔特利耶阇那所制定。
Viśvāmitra (to the King)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Mahārāja (king)
Scene: Bhartṛyajña, depicted as a venerable mahātman, draws a symbolic boundary line around the sacred precinct (maryādā), while learned brāhmaṇas from elsewhere stand respectfully outside; Viśvāmitra narrates to the king, emphasizing the prohibition.
In tīrtha-dharma, local sacred ordinances (maryādā) can define proper ritual conduct beyond mere scholastic attainment.
The Nāgarakhaṇḍa’s tīrtha-setting is assumed; this verse emphasizes the authority of a locally instituted maryādā.
For these rites, brāhmaṇas from other regions are disallowed even if they are caturvedins; the rule is attributed to Bhartṛyajña.
