ततो महेश्वरः प्रीतः प्राह स्कंदस्य श्रृण्वतः । चतुर्दश्यां कृष्णपक्षे मधौ चैवात्र यो नरः । स्नात्वोपोष्य समभ्यर्च्य कपालेश्वरमीश्वरीम्
tato maheśvaraḥ prītaḥ prāha skaṃdasya śrṛṇvataḥ | caturdaśyāṃ kṛṣṇapakṣe madhau caivātra yo naraḥ | snātvopoṣya samabhyarcya kapāleśvaramīśvarīm
随后，大自在天（Maheśvara）欢喜，在军荼（Skanda）聆听之时说道：“在蜜月（Madhu）之月、黑半月（kṛṣṇa-pakṣa）的第十四日（caturdaśī），凡人在此沐浴、守斋（upavāsa），并如法礼敬迦婆勒湿伐罗（Kapāleśvara）与女神……”
