dakṣopi vadanaglānimavāpya saparicchadaḥ | punaryathākathaṃcicca yajñaṃ prāvartayandvijāḥ
Narrator (contextual, within Skanda’s narration in Kāśīkhaṇḍa)
Scene: Dakṣa, surrounded by priests and attendants, sits with downcast face; the sacrificial arena shows signs of disruption, yet the brāhmaṇas cautiously resume the rite, rekindling the fire.
Ritual action may be resumed outwardly, but inner disgrace and disruption show that dharma depends on right alignment with the divine, not mere procedure.
The verse sits in the Kāśīkhaṇḍa framework (Kāśī/Varanasi), though this particular line references the yajña narrative rather than naming a specific tīrtha.
No new prescription is given; it only states that the brāhmaṇa priests restarted the yajña despite the setback.
